I first went to camp Algonquian in 1968 and it was the greatest experience of my young life. In 1987, I sent my two sons to Algonquian and now I'm planning a summer for my grandchildren. There is no experience like Algonquian to broaden horizons, hone skills and learn about self-sufficiency.
I still sing the Al-Gon-Quian camp song.
I lived in Indian River so I only lived five minutes away so I could visit often. I always had fun and it is very family oriented. I miss it so much!
I highly recommend it for any young person.
